GED Graduates Admission Process
Applicants who have met equivalent diploma requirements through the General Education Development (GED) tests will be admitted upon receipt of documents stated below.
- Complete an application for admission.

ACT and SAT Scores Information- ACT and SAT scores are not required, but you are encouraged to submit the scores for one or both tests. The ACT and/or SAT scores are used to determine scholarship awards and for placement in math and English classes. If you do not submit ACT and/or SAT scores, you may be required to take a math and/or English Placement Test. Placement tests are offered at Potomac State Orientation (PSO) events. ACT and/or SAT scores are accepted in two of the following formats. If the score(s) appear on your official high school transcript, this format will be accepted. If you receive a mailed notice of your score(s) from the ACT and/or SAT college test companies, a copy of this format will be accepted. The online notification(s) will not be accepted.
- Provide documentation showing immunizations. To ensure the health and safety
of our campus, immunization against communicable diseases is extremely important.
The following vaccinations are required of all first-time freshmen and transfers.
- Meningococcal vaccine
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
- Polio series
- Tetanus (Td or Tdap)
- Hepatitis B series
Documentation of these immunizations must be submitted to the Office of Enrollment Services prior to enrollment.
